Once apon a time a larger than life man turned up at the SCBM rehearsal and wanted to sing a Tag. I was up for any tags, and so we tried one out, then another and another. I do remember some ladies the SCB Gals wincing at the volume and I thought YEAH.

Later, Michiel and Eugene joined, and we tried a few songs and hmmmmm, it looked promising.,,and so we kept meeting up, either around Eindhoven or occasionally in Brunssum.

We had such fun...

For me some key moments were.

The cat that ran into the full length window at Martine's house..Miaowww..thud.. (caught on Mini Disc if you want it for the web page)

Always bringing new music to the quartet

Christening my house in Shrewsbury with 18 Dutch people, with different languages, fun and happiness over a great weekend

Being crazy enough to continue rehearsing even when I was in UK, for the NL Championships.

Of watching a female bicyclist crashing into a concrete flower pot as we sang outside a Shrewsbury Pub...

Singing in a Chinese restaurant in Shrewsbury to a girls Birthday dinner...

Coaching with Dale from Sound Crew who, when in the loo came up with the tag for "Somewhere Overweight People" If Blue Birds weighed as much as I I think they'd find it very hard to fly.just this high!!!

Of almost being arrested at Niederrhein airport when we sang two songs to some travellers..

Winning the Prize for Most Promising Quartet..in Zaandam..with Somewhere..

Of Eugenes's quiet humour..of Martines desire to sing and sing and sing..and Michiel trying to control us in a delicate way.

Such fun and remembered with happiness and of course, a sadness that my work took me away to places afar but hey..Look at them now!!!!
